On the Location types page you can  edit,  remove and add location types. In the Trackinno asset management service, location types have a tree structure, i.e. a location type can have both parent and child location types. For example, a location type called Storage can have a parent location type called Department and a child location type called Storage room. The location types are used on the Locations page, where you can create locations. The locations can be set as holders for assets.

Example

In the example, the highest parent location is Tampere, having the location type Department. Its child location Trackinno HQ, has the location type Premises. In the example, Department also has another child location type: Warehouse.

Trackinno HQ has two child locations: Room 2, having the location type Office, and Conference room, having the location type Room. Now, for example, the Conference room at Trackinno HQ located in Tampere can be set as a holder for an asset in your Trackinno asset management service.
